ASPHALT IMPRINTING

Asphalt imprinting is a pavement texturing process that gives a block paved effect on roads. It uses asphalt as its base, then a block paved pattern design will be stamped over to attain a uniform and seamless pattern across the road.

The benefits of choosing asphalt imprint over the actual installation of real bricks, stones, or pavers include:

  • Quick application that can reduce traffic disruption
  • Higher durability than bricks and stones that are susceptible in shifting overtime
  • The lifespan of asphalt imprints can last as long as the asphalt surface
  • Easy maintenance as asphalt is not likely to have settling crack issue or grow                grout line weed

In Singapore, Asphalt imprinting is often in red with block paving type finish. The distinctive colour and pattern are different from the rest of the road, thus raising the awareness of the motorists to also pay special consideration, whether an area has to be driven more carefully, or should be avoided.

MINOR & MAJOR ASPHALT WORKS

We offer minor asphalt work that repair and maintain asphalt pavements. It is advisable to have the asphalt roads maintained when it is in a good to fair condition to prevent further distress that will deteriorate the road. Ultimately, prevention is better than cure, it does cost far lesser to do preventive measures than to rehabilitate poor condition roads. We are here to fix all kinds of distressed road, including cracking, distortion, disintegration, skidding hazards, and surface treatment distress.

EMK also offers major asphalt works, such as asphalt grinding, milling, and patching. This process gives maximum time efficiency, as it usually will take about less than a day (depending on the size of the area as well as weather conditions) to remove the pre-existing asphalt to a certain depth, and overlay the new asphalt.

Transverse markings

Transverse markings are wider and marked across or fairly across the road, often used as certain traffic control devices.

EMK performs all types of transverse road markings, this includes:

  • Stop lines
  • Give way lines
  • Marked foot crossings
  • Zebra crossings
  • Diagonal and Chevron markings
  • Messages on pavements
  • Pavement arrows
  • Road markings for bicycle facilities
